The Austin City Council is facing some tough conversations following the defeat of Proposition Q. The measureâexpected to raise roughly $110 millionâwas soundly rejected by voters (about 63% opposed), and now the city must reevaluate service allocations, including parks, EMS and public health. |

The national bookstore chain Barnes & Noble Southpark Meadows has opened at 9600 S I-35 Frontage Rd. Their 20,000 sq ft location is perfect for curling up with a book and coffee, and adds a comfy neighborhood gathering space in south Austin.
